How to Support Black-Owned Restaurants All Year Long
Food brings everyone to the table. In fact, the National Restaurant Association tracked nearly 100 billion in sales in just January 2023 alone.
Many Americans have pursued their restaurateur dreams in hopes of sharing their delicious recipes with the community and grabbing a slice of the lucrative market.
However, Black entrepreneurs represent only 10% of restaurant owners in the USA's private sector, according to a recent study by the National Restaurant Association. In addition, Black restaurant owners are about three times as likely to have their profitability impeded by a lack of funding.
Black Americans and other minorities endure many hurdles just to bring culinary excellence to the community. Frequenting Black-owned restaurants is a way to support the Black community all year round.
In an effort to bring more awareness to Black-owned restaurants, we’ve compiled a list of some of Menufy by HungerRush's restaurant partners from around the country.
