About Menufy
When & What: Since 2009, Menufy has provided mobile and online meal ordering capabilities for restaurants, enabling the fulfillment of on-demand carryout and delivery.
Where & Who: Headquartered in the Kansas City area, in the heartland state of Kansas, we service independently-owned restaurants and small chains in more than 3,000 US cities.
How: Menufy empowers restaurateurs with an online ordering website designed around the restaurant's brand and offers full data ownership, a loyalty program, analytics, and a suite of digital and print marketing services. Customers can order from the restaurant's website or from the Menufy portal or app, which offer more payment options than any other restaurant e-commerce system.
Why: We're techies and foodies who are passionate about foodtech that promotes the prized creations of the restaurants we partner with.
What We're Known For
B2B
Flat pricing: We believe that carryout commission fees should remain the same regardless of ticket size to protect the restaurant's profit margin.
No monthly online ordering fees: We don't charge recurring ordering fees because we believe they don't incentivize high order volume.
Flexibility: The restaurant can cover the commission fee or pass the expense on to the customer based on its target margin.
B2C
Streamlined checkout flow: Our customers enjoy the simplicity of our ordering process, which resulted from years of UX improvement inspired by an ongoing customer feedback loop.
Digital menu pricing that mirrors paper menus: We believe in transparently line-itemizing our customer convenience fee rather than inflating menu prices and advertising our services as "free".
Cryptocurrency payment options: We accept Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BTH), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), USD Coin (USDC), Paxos Standard (PAX), and Binance USD (BUSD) at participating restaurants.
Our Story
In 2009, three of Menufy co-founders operated a fine dining restaurant in Kansas City that was facing growing obstacles beyond its doors: Customers complained that it was nearly impossible to place to-go orders by phone when the front-of-house staff was busy serving diners, and customers didn’t have up-to-date online information about the restaurant.
To address these shortcomings, the trio approached a group of software engineers and a marketing strategist about entering the digital space. At the time, many restaurants didn’t have their own website and none of the e-commerce solutions addressed all the digital needs of restaurant operators. To solve these problems, the team incorporated with the proposition that every restaurant should have an easy-to-use website that’s free, branded, accurate, and ready for off-premise business.
