Collection of Cozy Cocktails
Hot Toddy: A Winter Classic
We are starting off strong with the timeless hot toddy. This classic cocktail combines whiskey, hot water, honey, and a hint of lemon to create a comforting drink that feels like a warm hug.
"Picture this: the perfect balance of whiskey, honey, and lemon in a steaming hot toddy! It's my go-to drink for cozy evenings, and I can't wait to savor every sip." -Sam Kaps, Menufy Channels Manager
The fragrant blend and the soothing heat make it the perfect concoction for these cold winter nights or a comforting companion when you're feeling under the weather.
Instructions:
Start by filling your glass or mug with hot water.
After discarding the hot water, add 1 oz of whiskey and 1 tablespoon of honey to your warm glass.
Squeeze and drop ¼ of a lemon into the glass.
Pour 1 cup of hot water into the glass and stir until all of your ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
Allow your hot toddy to steep for a few minutes, and then remove the lemon wedge.
Enjoy!
Mulled Wine: Win(e)d Down
It’s time to seize the season's spices with a piping hot mug full of mulled wine. This drink infuses red wine with cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange peels, star anise, honey, whiskey, and a touch of vanilla to create a festive drink that encapsulates the spirit of winter. Imagine sipping on a cup of this holiday delight, and consider making it a go-to for heartwarming gatherings.
Instructions:
Pour 1 bottle of red wine (750 ml) into a large pot.
Add 1 orange (squeezed and sliced), 8-10 whole cloves, 2-3 cinnamon sticks, 1 star anise, ¼ cup of honey, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
Heat the mixture over low heat, but be careful not to bring it to a boil.
Let the mulled wine simmer for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
If you’d prefer to add whiskey, add ¼ cup in the last 5 minutes of simmering.
Before serving, remove the orange and spices.
Ladle the mulled wine into glasses and garnish with additional cinnamon sticks or orange slices.
Cheers!
Spiked Hot Chocolate: Not Santa’s Average Beverage
Embrace your childhood by taking your hot chocolate to the next level: add a splash of your favorite liquor!
“I must say, a spiked hot chocolate is a favorite of mine. The rich chocolate combined with a hint of bourbon creates a delightful and indulgent winter treat." - Matthew Dieden, Menufy Sales Director
Whether you're a fan of peppermint schnapps, Irish cream, or even a dash of bourbon, your options are endless. Feeling adventurous? Top it off with a dollop of whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra touch of excitement.
Instructions:
In a pot, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat until the milk is warm but not boiling.
In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and a pinch of salt. Slowly add this mixture to the warm milk and stir until thoroughly mixed together.
Next, add ¼ cup of semisweet chocolate chips to the hot chocolate and mix until they are fully melted.
Add ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture and stir.
Reduce the heat to low and add 1.5 oz of your favorite spirit.
Once the hot chocolate is warmed to your liking, remove it from the heat, pour into your favorite mug, and garnish with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
