Today, we have the privilege of meeting My, a valued member of the Menufy by HungerRush team. My's journey—from Vietnam's insurance industry to software as a service (SaaS) sales to his current role as a senior inside sales representative at Menufy by HungerRush—is a testament to the diverse paths that lead individuals to success.

Meet My! 

What is your professional background? 

My journey in Vietnam's insurance industry marked the beginning of my professional path. It was a dynamic world, filled with excitement and challenges yet always brimming with opportunities. As I immersed myself in the intricacies of insurance, I found myself crafting protection plans for airlines to navigate through uncertainty and devising innovative risk management strategies to bolster banks' financial resilience.  

In that fast-paced environment, I uncovered a passion for sales and transitioned into the captivating realm of software as a service (SaaS). Armed with charm and expertise, I embraced the role of a guide in technological innovation, leading businesses toward efficiency and progress with enthusiasm and determination. 

 

How do your past experiences help you serve our clients? 

With a background rooted in SaaS sales, I've honed the finesse and flair necessary to navigate the digital landscape, positioning myself as the ultimate guide in Menufy's domain. From crafting tantalizing pitches to sizzling demos, I'm here to whip up a storm of excitement around Menufy's offerings.   

What is your favorite part of your role at our Menufy by HungerRush organization? 

The most rewarding aspect of the role could be the opportunity to connect with clients, understand their needs, and provide them with solutions that genuinely make a difference for their business. It's about building relationships, offering valuable insights, and ultimately helping clients succeed in their endeavors. 

Which city do you call home, and what does the restaurant scene look like there? 

From the vibrant streets of Vietnam to the diverse culinary landscape of Houston, my journey has been a delicious adventure. After three years in the United States, with stops in San Jose and Wisconsin, Houston has become my home. Here, flavors range from Tex-Mex and southern barbecue to global cuisines. Every meal is a celebration of diversity, innovation, and unforgettable flavors.    

What is your favorite restaurant? What's your favorite dish from that restaurant? 

When it comes to dining experiences, my favorite is the one I can find right in the comfort of my own kitchen! It's the simple pleasure of savoring a bowl of pho, lovingly crafted by none other than my wife. There's a unique warmth and comfort in every sip of her flavorful broth, making it a cherished favorite.   

 
After you clock out, how do you spend your free time? 

Once I clock out, my cherished free time revolves around hanging out with my wife and kids. We like sharing outdoor adventures that strengthen our bond and create lasting memories. Whether camping under the stars, listening to the crackle of a campfire, or navigating tranquil waters while kayaking, each moment is filled with laughter and shared experiences. Fishing outings add an extra thrill as we cast our lines into the water, eagerly awaiting the day's catch. These outdoor escapades allow us to connect not only with nature but also with each other.   

Share one of your secret skills/talents! 

My secret talent lies in the rhythm of my feet hitting the pavement as I lace up my running shoes. I've found joy and challenge in running, pushing myself to conquer half marathons. It's not just about the races, though; I strive to maintain a consistent routine, aiming to run 5 miles each day. With every step, I find solace, strength, and a sense of accomplishment that fuels my passion for running.   

If you could only eat one food/dish for a whole year, what would it be?  

If I were limited to just one food or dish for an entire year, I would undoubtedly choose pho. Its versatility in preparation, combined with comforting flavors, make it an ideal choice for sustained enjoyment. Whether it's the hearty beef broth infused with aromatic spices or the tender slices of beef and rice noodles, pho offers a delightful culinary experience that I never tire of. Plus, its nutritional balance and ability to satisfy both hunger and cravings make it suitable for any meal of the day. From breakfast to dinner, pho has already found its place in my daily routine, and its endless variations ensure that each bowl is a unique and satisfying delight.
