Menufy's family tree has been growing ever since the company was founded in 2009. We've branched out over the years, adding many talented individuals across multiple departments.

Meet Joana

We recently spoke with Joana Avendano, who joined our organization almost five years ago! Her leadership and outstanding customer support skills contribute to her success as a lead project coordinator. 

Joana ensures that our new restaurant partners' online ordering websites go live as fast and smoothly as possible. She works closely with business owners and managers and helps them become familiar with our service and with the best ways to maximize the effectiveness of their new sites.

Where did your journey in the restaurant industry begin?

Right before Menufy, I was working at Spin Pizza and K-Macho's Mexican Restaurant. 

What did you learn from your previous restaurant experience?

In the restaurant world, you experience the best and worst of customer service. Doing that for years helped me understand people just want to be heard and have their problems solved. This carried through really all areas of my life. 

With Menufy clients, I take my time to listen to them if there is a concern or question, and I try my best to solve their problem with either my own resources or the collective work of the team. 

Why have you stayed with Menufy for nearly five years?

I have enjoyed getting myself exposed to different people, not just our clients but my coworkers. From the beginning, you hear things like "we are very diverse," but it's not until you start working here that you really get to experience the best of everyone's background. 

How does your work benefit restaurant operators?

Of course, our multilingual onboarding and support make us amazing! 

We work 24/7, and we care about our client's brand and their own success. I like to think we try our best to educate and equip our restaurant owners to be the most successful when it comes to online ordering. 

Favorite restaurant in the Kansas City area?

Sichuan Dynasty, yum!
