What is your restaurant/professional background?
Before the chaos of the COVID pandemic, I had the fantastic opportunity to work in the food industry, and I gained valuable experience. I was a sales representative at a sushi food supplier in sunny Florida for three years. Here, I learned everything there is to know about the restaurant industry while sharpening my sales skills.
Then I stepped into the shoes of a restaurant manager for two whirlwind years! I orchestrated the daily dance of operations, guided staff, and ensured that our customers left with big smiles and full bellies. I am proud to have had these experiences and excited to see where they will take me in life!
How do your past experiences help you serve Menufy’s Restaurant Partners?
Collaborating with various sushi restaurants in Florida has helped me establish trust with restaurant owners. My experience as a restaurant manager and food supplier sales representative has given me the business knowledge necessary to contribute to Menufy’s success!
If you could switch departments/roles for a day, which would you choose?
If I could shake things up for a day, I'd put on my human resources hat. Why? Because I've got a knack for recruitment and training, so slipping into the HR department would be fun!
Which city do you call home, and what is the restaurant scene like there?
My family lives in Thailand, but my home sweet home is in Orlando, Florida. The Orlando food scene is a melting pot of culinary delights, especially when it comes to Asian cuisine. From the fiery spices of Thai dishes to the delicate balance of Japanese sushi, Orlando's got it all!
What is your favorite restaurant? What's your favorite dish from that restaurant?
I would have to say that my favorite restaurant is Sushi Ramen Anna Maria in Anna Maria, Florida. Sushi Ramen Anna Maria serves terrific food and has quick service. Their chef's sushi? Simply divine!
How do you spend your free time after you clock out?
When the clock strikes "me time," you'll find me indulging in good food (of course!), catching up on the latest YouTube channels, and fueling my adventurous side by jetting off to destinations like Austria and Switzerland.
Share one of your secret skills/talents!
I thrive on connecting with new people! Communication is my superpower, whether that's charming an audience with my public speaking skills or sealing the deal with a killer cold call. I live for human interaction!
If you could only eat one food/dish for a whole year, what would it be? (And why?)
If I had to pick just one dish to devour for an entire year, it would be Thai basil pork with a crispy fried egg on top. Why? Because it's a blend of flavors—spicy, savory—and downright irresistible!
